You’re people appointed you to lead a VERY small town towards economic growth and to grow your very small town into an EMPIRE.
During your registration you choose which faction you will join. There are 3 factions available at townian and these are:
• Townians is the balanced faction
• Elevens is oriented towards economy
• Republicans towards warfare
Starting at Townian
You will start at townian with only 1 building and some resources. Your starting building will be Town Hall.
At the Town Hall you can see what buildings you can build, you can SET tax rate, you can rename your village and start a new town.
Building basic needs is the most and very first you need to do at townian. You should start first of building Grain Mills so that your people will not starve to death. Second thing is the HUT, you need to give your people a place to sleep with.
Take note, you can’t build other buildings if you don’t have enough space for your people. Upkeep is the required space needed of a building.
After building your Grain Mill and Hut, now SET your TAX first to start generating GOLD, tax percentage affects your current morale level, while morale affects your production on wood, stone and iron. Having high tax means having low wood, iron and stone production. So we suggest setting TAX rate to 50 to keep it balance.
Now that you start generating food, gold and you already have space to live for your people. Let’s start building now the other essential needs of your town. Start building your Iron Mine, Lumber mill and Stone Quarry.

Stone Quarry produce Stones
We suggest levelling those first until level 2-3 before building other buildings. When you start making like 10-20 resources per hour then let’s start building your granary and warehouse to stock your resources.
Granary will store your food while warehouse will store your other resources.
NOTE: It’s now your choice if you prefer building a economic type of town or offensive type of town.
If you decided to go to economic type of town, I suggest start building your Cache to protect your resources against raid from other towns. Keep in mind that you need to focus on upgrading resources buildings, hut and cache. Next thing to build is the Cathedral, it will boost your town’s morale. Having high morale means higher resources production.
Building your market is also one of your focus since you are a economic town, you need it to trade other resources to other players.
Building embassy also is a must! Embassy will allow you to create an Alliance or join other alliances. PLUS in the embassy you can discuss topics with your co-member in that alliance.
Then start building your “WALLS” for defence and “TOWER” for offense against attackers.
For OFFENSIVE type,
You need to start upgrading your resources till you make 20-30 resources per hour, then start building Military Storage, Blacksmith, Weapon and Armour Shop, Academy.
Military Storage stores your weapons, armours and cannon balls
Blacksmith upgrades your troop’s weapon and armour
Weapon and Armour shop is where you can forge your weapons for your troop
Academy will give hit points to your troops
After building these buildings, now you have all the requirements to build your barracks, barracks is the place where you can train troops. Build the barracks.
Let’s start with the unit Spearman. The Spearman is the basic military unit. To start training some spearman we need to:
Research the unit first at the Academy
Upgrade the Weapon and Armour at the blacksmith
Forge required weapon and armour
Make sure you have enough required resources per unit
Start training units !! (in the barracks)
After having at least 3-5 spearmen you should start raiding other towns.
Recommended towns to raid are the towns with 50-60 population.
To start raiding, let’s appoint first our general, go to your barracks then click “Choose general”, having a general will make your troops more effective in attacking and defending a town. After appointing a general, we can now dispatch our units. Again go to barracks and click “Dispatch Troops” and click dispatch now. There are 4 different types of dispatch, these are Reinforce, Raid, Attack and Spy.
Let’s start raiding other towns, choose your town target, see the map or at the highscore page. Put your 3-5 spearmen and click SEND.
Note: if the town target if very far from your town it will take some time before your troops reaches your target. You can use transport ships if you have and if your target is near the sea shore. This will boost your travel speed.
If your raid is successful you will get 30-50 resources each(food, gold, etc) but it will still depends on your target’s current resources. And you might get some weapons or armours in your raid. Every land unit(except ships) can hold 10 resources each per raid.
NOTE: Using catapults or ram in an attack can damage your target’s buildings(randomly)
ANY TOWNS CAN BE CONQUERED EVEN YOUR CAPITAL TOWN!
How to conquer a town?
• Send more than 100 colonist in a town
• Use "attack" as attack type
• Send "transportation ship along with the colonist for faster troops movement
• Send "spearman or swordsman" as backup to your colonist
Colonist will have the main role in conquering a town. If you have 100 or more colonist survived in an attack, then you wins, you captured the town. That's it!
How to prevent being conquered?
• Build your town's wall
• Train units specially swordsman and crossbow
• Upgrade your troop's defense at the "Blacksmith"
A good defense is the key.
NOTE: If your town is conquered, you will have any access to it anymore, BUT you can still claim it back by conquering it again, just rebuild your town again and resback.
